CEI Inspector I
Lusternational is seeking CEI Inspector I’s who will provide Construction, Engineering, and Inspection services for transportation projects in Georgia. The role involves performing complex inspections and ensuring compliance with construction contracts under supervision.

Responsibilities
Will perform independent complex inspections of roadways and structure, construction processes, and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract
Will perform moderately complex inspections or supervise other inspectors conducting routine and standardized inspections
Work includes inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix; pavement for proper spreading, rolling, depth, alignment and compaction; roadways and structures for conformance to plans, and specifications; structural materials and members; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; and traffic control and erosion control devices
May also perform a more complex variety of calculations and computations
Will perform contract documentation duties, which include field measurements of pay items as well as other Department required documentation
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
1.5+ years' experience working as a CEI Inspector
Considerable knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction
Considerable knowledge of mathematical functions, including geometry
Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators and computers
Ability to read, interpret, and explain such things as construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection procedures
Ability to take notes and prepare or review reports
Ability to instruct other employees in proper work methods
Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law
Proficiency with computers (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, internet, etc.)

GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification
GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control)
Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, Basic Highway Plan Reading)
Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 2 (Pavements, Bases, Subbases, Minor Drainage Structures, Construction Erosion Control)
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
