Postdoctoral Research Associate (Physics)

Baylor University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Experimental High Energy Physics to join their research group. The successful candidate will participate in the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and will be involved in various aspects of high energy physics research and analysis.

Responsibilities

Assist PI in planning, organizing, and carrying out research projects
Prepare scientific articles for publication
Present publications and research results at conferences and workshops
Attend training as required for the job
Work on other projects assigned by the PI
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Qualification

Experimental High Energy PhysicsC++PythonMachine LearningEffective Field Theory

Required

Ph.D
Research experience in experimental high energy physics
Extensive programming experience in C++
Extensive programming experience in Python

Preferred

Some experience in machine learning techniques
