Program Coordinator, South Bay
1736 Family Crisis Center offers crisis intervention services and is seeking a Program Coordinator to manage shelter activities and ensure quality services. The role involves overseeing shelter staff, maintaining documentation, and making recommendations for service development.

Responsibilities
Manages all shelter activities; reviews all shelter cases in all aspects, taking responsibility for quality and timeliness of all shelter services. Responsible for all assigned record keeping and documentation relevant to the agency
Attends meetings and provides outreach as directed; conducts weekly staff meetings and other shelter meetings as necessary. Interviews, trains, and supervises shelter staff, trainees, interns, and volunteers
Ensures adherence to agency polices/procedures and to professional ethics and good conduct on the part of the staff, volunteers, and students
Makes recommendations to the senior management regarding development of shelter services, policies affecting shelter services, and related matters
Ensures that the duties necessary to maintaining continuous shelter coverage are carried out (such as shelter coverage, house maintenance and supply operations, assessment of need for volunteers, maintenance of contacts with community resources, and other duties as appropriate)

Qualification
Required
Advanced Degree from an accredited college/university in mental health, social services or comparable field
Prefer 2-5 years experience working with populations in a residential living facility for people experiencing homelessness (combination of education and experience will be considered)
Strong knowledge of Case management ethics, HIPAA, Programmatic standards of operation and clinical engagement, clinical documentation methods, Housing First, Harm Reduction and Trauma informed philosophies
Experience coordinating projects and reports
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities and proactive decision-making abilities
Proven presentation and facilitation skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
Possess excellent team and interpersonal skills
Able to work under minimum supervision
Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verifications
Availability to respond to staff on a 24 hour a day, seven days a week basis
