Responsibilities
Performs routine mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies as required
DEXA scan procedures and general x-ray’s as required
Knowledge of QC for all mammography equipment
All technologists are required for coverage at satellite offices as needed
Assists in maintaining QA and PI functions as directed
Understands and utilizes effective infection control, such as hand washing and universal precautions
Reviews last mammography exam in McKesson PACS and reports in mammography RIS system
Consults Radiologist and/or other
Maintains technical competency in all digital technology related to mammography services: Mammogrpahy RIS, IDX, Penrad, McKesson technology
Accesses and enters computer data for various patient and information requirements
Knowledgeable of McKesson PACS and the Mammogrpahy RIS system
Assists physician in coordinating information, materials and supplies before, during and after exam
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
ARRT Certification in radiography and mammography
Valid NJ State licensure
BLS through American Heart Association
Compliant in maintaining current continuing education credits as required by the FDA/MQSA and ACR
Preferred
Previous Mammography experience
