Responsibilities

Professional caregiver who is responsible for the preparation of the patient prior to the procedure

To assist the physician during the performance of cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral angiograms and interventions, permanent pacemaker procedures, and neurological angiograms and interventions

Participates in unit Quality Improvement evaluation activities

Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to provide age-specific treatment

Qualification

Radiologic TechnologyNJ LicensureARRT CertificationBLS CertificationACLS Certification

Required

Graduate of Approved School of Radiologic Technology

NJ Licensure

ARRT Certification

BLS through American Heart Association

Successful completion of department-specific orientation
