Contract Audit Senior Auditor

Responsibilities
Perform planning, fieldwork and reporting procedures for examinations, performance audits, audits of the Schedule of Costs Incurred, or agreed-upon procedures for contract audit/examination assignments in connection with procurement and contracting activities between the Federal Government and the Contractor
Prepare detailed Notice of Findings and Recommendations and draft audit reports in accordance with applicable standards and agency specific procedures
Maintain audit workpapers including the preparation of schedules, summaries, and reconciliations
Perform assigned audit steps, such as tests of contractor's various transactions to include payroll, material costs, and subcontractor costs
Review reports, records, ledgers, and other documents against invoices, receipts, and payroll slips. Verify appropriateness of charges for materials and labor and determine that transactions have been properly recorded and are allocable to the contracts under scope
Perform detailed review of assigned staff workpaper and provide guidance as needed for the successful completion of the engagements
Prepare and lead engagement meetings to include entrance and exit conferences with Client and Contractor personnel

Coordinate with other team members, provide updates on the status of audit assignments, share information, and identify requisite revisions to the program and/or annual team goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or business-related field
Minimum of (2) years experience in contract audit services engagements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Active Certified Public Accountant or eligible to sit for CPA license
Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a government suitability check to obtain Public Trust (US Citizenship required)
