Responsibilities

Support engineering life cycle management engineering and planning for assigned Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships including the development of long range (5-30 year) plans for maintenance, operation, repair, and support of TRANSALT
Provide ship availability Program Management (PM) and technical support to Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels
Contractor shall work with the Availability Management Team (AMT) to accomplish the specific tasks for assigned work items
Assist in observing, and verification, and reporting on engineering requirements associated with the maintenance, repair, and modification of the vessel. Provide all observations, reports, and recommendations to the Principal Port Engineer (PPE)
Provide technical services for engineering development and documentation. Technical services shall include engineering support in areas of naval architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and marine engineering. Work packages and studies will be conducted to support vessels and upcoming availabilities and will provide replacement and repair solutions and upgrades or improvements
Assist Availability Management Team (AMT), Life Cycle Management Division Director, Engineering Type Desk, and PPE in Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management and Port Engineer Information System (SAMM/PENG) Program to assist the PPE in preparing for availabilities and post availability reports
