TrustPoint International, LLC is partnering with an AmLaw 200 law firm to find an experienced Estate/Fiduciary Accountant for their Naples, Florida office. The role involves preparing and reviewing estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting attorneys and clients in estate administration tasks.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file Federal and state estate tax and gift tax returns
Prepare and file Federal and state fiduciary income tax returns
Prepare estate and trust accountings
Handle informational returns for tax-exempt entities
Assist with estate and gift tax planning, including actuarial and interest computations (e.g., QPRTs, GRATs, CRATs, CLUTs)
Maintain and update estate and trust accounts and tax records
Respond to audit inquiries from the IRS and state tax agencies
Support attorneys with estate administration tasks, including probate filings, inventories, asset collection, and distributions to beneficiaries
Other duties, as needed

Required

CPA or Enrolled Agent designation required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a trust and estate practice at a law firm, CPA firm, or financial institution
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced legal setting
Professional demeanor and ability to develop strong working relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues
