Responsibilities

Assists provider with cardiovascular procedures by scrubbing, and/or first assisting to achieve optimal patient care

Maintains knowledge/expertise of all cardiovascular procedures and team functions, of instruments and supplies used for electrophysiology and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and to provide input for equipment purchase and maintain a cost-effective inventory

Assists with safely transporting patients preoperative to the operating room, positioning of patients for the operative procedure and transporting to post-operative area

Maintains and monitors aseptic technique to reduce risk of surgical site infection as well as contamination of peers

Performs advanced computer operations and clerical functions, including assembling patient charts, ordering supplies and compiling reports

Qualification

Registered Cardio Invasive SpecialistBLSACLSAssociate's degreeTwo years’ experience in ORLPNRNARRT Radiology Tech licenseEMT

Required

Completion of AART, RCIS, LPN or RN program required

BLS and ACLS required

Preferred

Associate's degree preferred

Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred

LPN or Registered Nurse is preferred

ARRT Radiology Tech license preferred

EMT - Emergency Medical Tech is preferred

Two years' experience in OR, Cath Lab or Special Procedures is preferred
