They are seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform sleep disorder testing in their Sleep Study Center, ensuring proper setup and execution of sleep studies while providing patient care and support.

Responsibilities
Review orders, medications, medical history of pending sleep studies; assess documentation, determine parameters and communication with physician
Perform pre-test set-up of equipment, supplies, forms
Perform computer calibration and patient bio-calibrations for each study
Ensure confirmation calls were made
Provide pre-testing instruction and demonstration to patient & assure completion of forms
Perform sleep study per protocol and recognize and correct problems in a timely fashion
Administer PAP and supplemental 02 as directed
Clean and store equipment (PAP and answer questions once study is complete
Complete charts, score sleep study, and ensure area is cleaned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED certificate
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
One year of experience performing sleep studies
Good English written and verbal communication skills
Licensed by NYS Board of Education
