Qualification
Required
Candidates for 400- and 500-level courses must hold a Ph.D. in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field, and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish
Candidates for 300-level courses must be at least a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field, and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish
Candidates holding a terminal M.A. degree in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field will be considered for lower-division language courses (100 and 200 level)
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students
This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America. California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence
Preferred
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching
Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment
Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities
