Responsibilities
Generally, take direction from senior engineers and project leads. Expect autonomy and independence to be commensurate with experience
Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, multi-discipline coordination should be expected on a regular basis
Conducting observations of and evaluating existing conditions in both the field and via existing historical drawings are commonplace
Expect to work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination of work between multiple EXP offices, as well as outside consultants
Occasional short-term travel to project sites. Usually, a single night or two at a time
Flexible hours and hybrid office attendance
Qualification
Required
Targeted experience level is 0-5 years with a focus on building design
Possess a solid understanding of various structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS
Possess strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation at a minimum
Working towards EIT or PE
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering w/ an emphasis on structures and/or relevant advanced coursework is considered a minimum requirement
Hold excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess the ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter in a concise and comprehendible manner to a less technical audience
Preferred
Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
Additional skills on items such as family creation, knowledge of parameter use, and templates is a plus
