The Cost Accounting Lead will own the costing and reporting of major subassemblies, manage monthly variance analyses, and lead projects related to new costing functions while collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities
Own the costing and reporting of major subassemblies such as engines, avionics, and structures
Manage the monthly variance analyses for P&L and balance sheet account categories
Lead major projects such as the adoption of new costing functions
Generate and review general journal entries, as part of regular monthly financial close
Perform system updates and administration functions to support part costing
Engage with team leaders in Production Operations, Purchasing, Planning, & Engineering for program reporting and project implementation
Partner with Materials Management and Production to ensure accurate warehouse and shop floor inventory centers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance with 5+ Years of Cost Accounting experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with major ERP software
Proficient in documentation
Effective in presenting to diverse audiences
Experience with Work Order Costing
Preferred
Experience with SQL, or other reporting languages
LN Infor experience
Calculation of Direct and Overhead Rates
Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
Cycle Count program administration
