NASA Lunar Gateway Software Test Facility Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

Act as the GSVL liaison to stakeholders, Gateway partners, and management during technical interchanges
Support document development and maintenance for GSVL hardware architecture and concept of operations
Integrate hardware and software into the GSVL including new flight software releases and avionics emulators
Troubleshoot issues found during integration and testing process

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines required
Minimum of 3 or more years of recent experience as an integration or systems engineer working in a safety-critical hardware and software environment. Experience can be for aerospace vehicles or in other industries, e.g., oil and gas. More experience is highly valued
C programming skills
Linux experience
Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment, and possess strong technical expertise combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic
Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills

Preferred

Experience with human-rated space vehicles, e.g., Space Shuttle, Space Station, Orion, Commercial Crew, Gateway, and in specific vehicle software domains (e.g., C&T, C&DH, GN&C)
Experience with developing and troubleshooting embedded software for Real-time Operating Systems, preferably VxWorks
Experience with serial communication protocols (e.g., 1553, RS-422, RS-232, Ethernet)
Experience with safety-critical flight software verification testing
Experience with NASA Core Flight Software (CFS)
Experience with Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE)
