Quality Engineer (Site Lead)

Responsibilities

Support customer audits as required
Act as Chair for the MRB process, participating in all aspects of the Root Cause and Corrective Action process (initiation, investigation, implementation, review)
Identify and implement process improvements to meet program-specific, and corporate goals
Conduct in-process and final inspection audits in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed
Conduct regular walk-through audits of lab and production areas
Create and conduct training on quality assurance topics for all company personnel, as appropriate
Participate in the site’s calibration system

Required

BS in Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic, and/or opto-mechanical product quality assurance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Solid knowledge of ISO 9001
Excellent work habits (proactiveness, responsible, organized, self-motivated, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Familiarity with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility
Familiarity with the Material Review Board (MRB) process
Familiarity with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications
Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques
Be able to work first or second shift

Preferred

ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications
Familiarity with AS9100 a plus
Prior experience delivering hardware for space-flight programs
