Responsibilities
Analyze broadly stated project requirements and, through research and meeting with stakeholders, provide recommendations for improving key performance parameters, key system attributes, and additional requirements
Review requirement documentation to establish and maintain a streamlined systems acquisition process
Organize, lead, and attend integrated product team meetings for robust and open communications about requirements, acquisition strategies, Government-contractor team performance, and to provide information to Government decision makers
Monitor and evaluate the progress of assigned projects throughout a highly tailored and streamlined acquisition process to ensure projects meet requirements, budgetary goals, and schedule milestones
Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and briefings highlighting progress against performance metrics, key events, budgetary performance, testing, and schedule milestones
Participate in all phases of the systems engineering process including requirements development, systems requirements reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, and acceptance testing
Qualification
Required
8-11 years of experience in engineering field
Bachelors degree in STEM field, Masters degree preferred
CBP/DHS suitability clearance
Preferred
Master's degree in STEM field
Previous experience with CBP or DHS
Previous experience in Systems Engineering, acquisition, test and evaluation
Understanding of Systems acquisition lifecycle (e.g. ALF and MD-102)
Familiarity with IEEE standard 1012, IEEE Standard 829-1998, and the DHS SELC
Excellent writing, communications and briefing skills
Certifications from DAU and DAWIA in Acquisition or test and evaluation are desired
