The Director of Civil Engineering will drive business growth, build lasting client relationships, and lead high-performing teams while overseeing project execution and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities with private sector clients—you’ll be a key player in our growth

Expand existing client relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business

Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen our market presence

Serve as the trusted advisor for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded

Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability—no dropped balls

Lead, mentor, and empower project teams to deliver outstanding results under pressure

Set and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to drive profitability and accountability in land development

Collaborate with project managers to forecast staffing needs and allocate resources effectively

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams

Work cross-functionally to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions for clients

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license (highly preferred)

15+ years of civil engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership (Director or similar)

Proven track record of winning work, retaining clients, meeting/exceeding revenue targets, and leading teams through complex projects

Financial savvy. You know how to manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability

A “figure it out” mindset. You're resourceful, adaptable, and thrive in fast-moving environments

Proven experience managing teams and mentoring staff

Exceptional communication skills. You build trust with clients, inspire teams, and drive results

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license
