Radiologic Technologist (PRN Days) - Mammography
Oklahoma State University Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate mammography and radiographic equipment proficiently. The role involves producing high-quality mammograms, assisting with invasive procedures, and ensuring the day-to-day operations of the department run smoothly.

Responsibilities
Operate mammography, radiographic equipment, and bone density equipment safely and proficiently
Produce high-quality mammograms with minimal repeats
Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel
Participate in performance improvement initiatives
Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department
Perform various complex and routine mammography exams
Assist with invasive procedures and troubleshoot equipment
Handle patient support equipment, i.e., IV pumps, oxygen tanks, etc
Clean the room and equipment, order supplies, process images, and provide basic patient care
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Ability to operate mammography, radiographic equipment, and bone density equipment safely and proficiently
Ability to produce high-quality mammograms with minimal repeats
Ability to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel
Participation in performance improvement initiatives
Assistance with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department
Ability to perform various complex and routine mammography exams
Assistance with invasive procedures
Troubleshooting equipment
Ability to handle patient support equipment, i.e., IV pumps, oxygen tanks, etc
Responsibility for cleaning the room and equipment
Ordering supplies
Processing of images
Providing basic patient care
CPR certification
Demonstration of knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs
Ability to provide the care needed as described in the department's competency plan
