Advance Planning Group Documentation Specialist – Project Installation Planning and Monitoring
CACI International Inc is seeking a skilled Documentation Specialist to join their NTCSS Advance Planning Group in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on managing and reviewing documents for NTCSS systems installation projects, emphasizing ship checks and System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) development.

Responsibilities
Collect and review documents for NTCSS installations (e.g., upgrades, reloads)
Ensure document format and currency before submission to approval boards
Manage file repositories and update APG folders for NIWC LANT and NIWC PAC jobs
Support APG shore installations with Excel, PowerPoint, and SOVT documents
Initiate shipcheck/PICO questionnaires and site surveys
Draft reports and Platform SOVTs for NTCSS and OOMA installations
Guide ISEA on SOVT content and collaborate on System SOVT revisions
Evaluate impacts of revised instructions on existing SOVTs and draft revisions
Compile metrics data for APG work and review PMW-150 initiatives
Provide assessments and recommendations to government representatives
Troubleshoot datacenter system issues with Fleet Support
Train new hires and government staff on APG processes and Microsoft Office
Engage in continuous process improvement (CPI) for APG efficiency
Utilize SharePoint repositories (SPIDER, SMART Tool, etc.) for research
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of NTCSS, OOMA, and SOVT processes
Understanding of Navy/DoD installation processes and cybersecurity
Strong document management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Training and CPI process experience
Preferred
Prior experience in a similar role within NIWC or a related organization with 5 (or 7+) years Naval or USMC aviation maintenance management (such as Maintenance Master/Senior Chief and USMC equivalent, or Maintenance Material Control Officer), and basic understanding of afloat (surface and submarine), and shore major type commands supported as stake holders for training, modernization support (as Integrated Logistics Support sites and Regional Maintenance Centers), Navy and USMC aviation squadrons and operational groups, NECC organization, and NAVSEA and NAVSUP business partners
