Responsibilities

Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for projects and programs at any stage of the acquisition life cycle
Support program acquisition efforts in advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities
Advise and assist the government on cost, schedule, and performance issues
Assist with portfolio management by providing information, advice, and recommendations to align acquisitions, manpower, and funding effectively
Advise and assist program managers in identifying and minimizing interface and integration problems
Coordinate and resolve issues to facilitate team communications, including internal and external interface issues with multiple government or mission partner organizations
Maintain, update, and analyze the acquisition forecast to ensure it is current and consistent, identifying any discrepancies or deficiencies
Incorporate inputs from force design, operational imperatives, combatant command integrated priority lists, and future force shaping products to enhance government planning and capability
Advise and assist leadership in managing high visibility engagements, commitments, and tasks, including at the congressional level
Draft, review, coordinate, and process program acquisition information for public release to industry, media, trade publications, and other stakeholders, ensuring no release without government approval

Required

MA/MS degree is required
Requires 15 years' experience in this type of position or program, of which five years must include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs
Individual must be able to perform the following kinds of functions, including but not limited to performing in-depth research, reconciling complex data/information across multiple systems and reports, interpreting information to generate multiple recommended courses of action, building staffing packages, comprehending and applying concepts/guidance, effectively implementing instructions/policies into routine performance, and developing tools/applications to foster efficiency in day-to-day activities
Relevant areas of expertise are limited to Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics
