Avionics System Integrity Engineer

The Avionics System Integrity Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing aircraft-level system integrity plans for F-16 avionics systems, ensuring reliability and mission readiness through various technical and program management tasks.

Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of aircraft-level system integrity strategies and verification processes, including SCGs, AT, and IA programs
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and verify avionics systems integrity, ensuring technical requirements align with F-16 modernization efforts
Support the integration of avionics technical tasks into the overall program schedule and airworthiness certification plan
Regularly assess program progress, addressing technical challenges, and recommending course corrections as needed
Partner with contractors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with F-16 Division/FB Directorate’s engineering standards and operational goals
Participate in proposal evaluations, including technical evaluations, fact-finding, and RFP development, assessing technical compliance with program requirements
Assist in preparing RFPs, Systems Requirements Documents (SRDs), SOWs, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and other program documentation
Provide technical expertise in formal and informal program reviews, risk assessments, and design reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
Interface with engineering leadership, including chief engineers, program managers, and military leadership within the F-16 Division and related organizations
Support various F-16 programs and boards, including the F-16 Consolidated Board, F-16 JMCCT/B, and other safety and system groups
Assist in preparing technical requirements for LOA development and amendments
Collaborate with LOA line managers to address technical and scheduling challenges, ensuring compliance with FMS obligations
Qualification
Required
Must have an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance (with eligibility for higher read-ins)
Must possess and maintain a current Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification
MA/MS degree plus 12 years of experience, five of which must be in the DoD
OR a BA/BS degree plus 15 years of experience, five of which must be in the DoD
OR 20 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD
Degree must be from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) (e.g., electrical engineer, computer engineer or computer science)
Preferred
10+ years of DoD acquisition program office experience
Expertise in implementing U.S. military aircraft system integrity programs
Expertise in implementing U.S. military aircraft AT programs
Expertise in implementing U.S. military aircraft Information Assurance (IA) and SWA programs
Experience with implementing U.S. military aircraft system integrity, AT, IA, and SWA programs
