Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and preparing engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, working with or as a mechanical Project Manager to meet deadlines, aiding in or providing engineering decisions, and collaborating with other engineers, architects, and/or owners

Responsible for creating mechanical and plumbing project construction documents, plans, and specifications

Responsible for on-site visits, as necessary, to collect existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, and report on-site observations. Construction activities when necessary, may include shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI’s, and site visits to generate observation reports

Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Texas

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering design using Trane Trace 700, or similar energy modeling tools

High-level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, and organization skills

Ability to manage large-scale projects

Preferred

Large central plant experience is a plus

Design-build experience is a plus
