Responsibilities

Developing and reviewing electrical design packages including equipment layout plans, conduit and cable schedules, hazardous area plans, grounding plans, and wiring diagrams or schematics

Applying design standards such as NFPA 70 NEC and API RP 500 to ensure compliance and safety across all deliverables

Designing low- and medium-voltage electrical infrastructure, including control systems using ControlLogix PLC and developing loop drawings for other PLC platforms

Creating advanced drawings and documentation using tools such as external references, dynamic blocks, functions, and formulas in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical or MicroStation V8 or newer

Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ensuring adherence to both internal and external drafting and design standards to maintain consistency and quality

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including civil, piping, and electrical design disciplines to deliver coordinated project solutions

Required

Formal training in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation V8 or newer with certification

Minimum of 10 years of professional full-time design experience in a 3D environment using AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation

Experience working in an office environment coordinating between drafters, designers, and engineers across multiple design disciplines including civil and piping

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of producing accurate, high-quality design work with minimal supervision

Preferred

Experience in electrical and controls design within the midstream oil and gas or similar industries (meter stations, pipeline interconnects, compressor stations, crude oil storage terminals, and product loading terminals)

Experience preparing grounding plans, conduit and cable schedules, process and instrumentation diagrams, and working on brownfield and greenfield projects

Skill in creating as-built or existing facility project drawings and identifying applicable design elements
