They are seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to oversee the Grounds Maintenance team, coordinating duties related to the maintenance and beautification of Cemetery Grounds.

Responsibilities

Meet performance standards established with the employee's manager

Perform general maintenance and repairs to Cemetery Grounds

Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edger's, sod cutters, chain saw etc

Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, clippers, saws etc

May install and maintain sprinkler systems, perform landscape construction and maintenance, including but not limited to mowing, aerating, pruning, landscape and planting trees, shrubs, sod flowers, and lawn seed

Will assist in burials at grave sites and operate heavy equipment including backhoes and/or excavators

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

One year of experience related field preferred

Valid California Driver License

Knowledge maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, etc

Know sprinkler systems design and installation

Safety precautions associated with equipment operations

Interpersonal communication skills ability to communicate both verbally and writing

Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisor subordinates and public
