Responsibilities
Responsible for delivery of professional care to all patients presenting to the Cardiac Cath Lab, assist the Cardiovascular specialist in preparing the Cath lab for all procedures, assist the Cardiovascular specialist as scrub tech
Performs sterile technique, basic EKG interpretation, assists with transporting patients to and from the Cath lab, documentation of procedure on Mac Lab and preparation of all patients for Cath lab procedure
Participates in coordination of care with the Cardiac Cath Lab Management, departmental staff, physicians and ancillary services
Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas after completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform the assigned duties
Qualification
Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or Paramedic, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
