Responsibilities
Help design, build, and operate the next-generation query systems that will unlock new use cases for Datadog across observability, business analytics, AI/ML, and beyond
Work closely with adjacent teams operating storage and intake systems to provide the best end-to-end platform solutions
Collaborate with engineers and product managers across Datadog to build features that exceed our customers’ expectations and work seamlessly across data platforms
Occasionally be on call for your team’s services, responding to alerts to ensure we’re always operational for our customers
Qualification
Required
You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
10+ years of relevant engineering experience
You have several years of experience leading cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment
You have experience with query systems and/or time-series databases
You have led the design and delivery of industry-leading systems
You're excited about leveraging AI tools to enhance how you code, solve problems, and build – or eager to learn how
