Sr. Research Assistant FT Days

Responsibilities

Follows study protocols regarding patient care issues
Ensures that procedures needed to attain project goals are implemented
Trains and supervises other employees on certain tasks or projects
Provides progress reports on the project to his/her supervisor
Recruit subjects into research studies
Supervises and is responsible for, as well as carrying out, data collection and analysis for studies as assigned by the principal investigator and project director
Respects and safeguards the rights of human subjects, including the confidentiality of the information gathered
Collects data through a variety of techniques and handles codification, processing and analysis of data under the direction of his/her supervisor
Writes report drafts as requested
Performs other activities necessary for day to day management of a research project, as assigned by the principal investor and project and project director
Helps to establish system for tracking and scheduling subject follow-up appointments and maintains the system
Prepared slides, graphs and visual presentations for scientific conferences
Successfully uses and maintains the system according to established procedures
Registers patients in the hospital information system for download
Schedules appointments using appropriate SETS of insurance and provider codes
Accurately assigns the right SET for place of service, coding, etc for appropriate charge and payment posting
Maintains a master schedule for appropriate providers
May run reports from the system as needed
Observes all relevant risk management, infection control, and safety policies and procedures
Attends orientation and ongoing inservice education as required
Observes all general hospital policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations
Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital’s service standards

Required

MA/MS in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields or BA/BS with equivalent work experience
At least six months of experience relating to persons with psychiatric or substance abuse problems or six months of research experience in related field preferred
Demonstrated skills in managing people desirable
