Responsibilities
The audit intern assists with financial and compliance audit and attestation engagements related to state entities or to financial and statistical reports filed by providers of Medicaid services
The audit intern will learn accounting and auditing skills while working as part of a team on a variety of engagements
Qualification
Required
Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field that includes 24 credit hours of accounting courses, 12 of which must be junior-level courses or above
Only applicants with good academic performance will be considered
Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to work sites which are generally in the metropolitan Columbia area
Preferred
Applicant must currently be pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least 24 hours in accounting
Preference includes a GPA of 3.0 or higher overall
