Worksite Wellness Program Coordinator - Bisbee

Responsibilities
Conducts fitness assessments and develops exercise programs for individuals and groups
Engages in the workouts with employees to ensure the health and safety of all participants
Maintains monthly and weekly client/employee schedule
Performs long range planning and research for current information relevant to program; maintains records
Develops and implements procedures, operations, assessment techniques, and marketing related to program goals; coordinates program activities, wellness presentations; collaborates with human resources to promote the employee wellness program through internal employee emails and at new employee orientation
Attends county sponsored wellness events to actively promote and support employee wellness and to discuss programming available to employees
Provides all related education to employees for the program according to program protocol, applicable guidelines and current research
Conducts quarterly assessments with each client and tracks specific metrics such as: tracking health improvements, fitness progress, activity levels, participation, and screenings to evaluate individual and program outcomes over time.to analyze the clients progress and the programs effectiveness
Prepares monthly and annual reports, and monthly newsletter articles for program services
Responsible for gathering baseline data and tracking metrics as related to program goals; evaluates effectiveness of programs and presentations; compiles and/or revises resource lists; responsible for program related training requirements
Coordinates all worksite wellness program activities
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in health promotion, public health, exercise science, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to be covered by county insurance
Considerable knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention, and employee wellness strategies
Considerable knowledge of behavior change theories
Considerable knowledge of physical activity, nutrition, mental health and stress management best practices
Good knowledge of program management
Good knowledge of designing, implementing and evaluating wellness programs
Good knowledge of conducting needs assessments and interpreting health data
Good knowledge of public relations and public information techniques
Good knowledge of proposal development
Working knowledge of records management operations
Working knowledge of needs, problems, and behavioral patterns of the focus population
Working knowledge of written and verbal communication
Skill in marketing program services to the organization
Skill in communicating effectively with adults of varied ages
Skill in Microsoft Office Suite
Skill in data collection
Ability to represent the department, division, or the program
Ability to travel within the region as required providing services
Ability to develop material as required for program
Ability to engage in rigorous physical activity for an extended period of time
Ability to attend necessary staff meetings, program-related meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences (as appropriate)
Ability to apply pertinent rules and regulations
Ability to work well with people of varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees/clients
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Preferred
Preference may be given to someone who is NASM, ACE, or ACSM certified or obtain certification within six (6) months
