Responsibilities

Serve as the first line of review for incoming deal opportunities from the origination team
Analyze financial and operational data provided by client-facing teams to assess transaction potential
Perform detailed gap analysis by communicating directly with external parties to gather missing data
Lead the development and structuring of proposed deal frameworks
Evaluate projected returns and risk exposures across consumer and small business asset classes
Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders for go/no-go decisions
Build and maintain detailed Excel-based models tailored to each transaction
Conduct scenario analysis, pricing, and portfolio impact forecasting
Interface with legal and operations teams to support deal execution and compliance
Focus on non-mortgage consumer assets including auto finance, niche receivables, and small business loans

Required

Experience in structured finance or investment analysis
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial and operational data
Proficiency in Excel for building detailed financial models

Knowledge of consumer and small business asset classes
Ability to interface with legal and operations teams for deal execution
