Technical Field Advisor

The Technical Field Advisor (TFA) provides technical direction and advisory services for fleet equipment installation and maintenance, acting as a liaison between customers and engineering support while ensuring project planning and safety compliance.

Energy

Responsibilities

Provide Advisory Services and Technical Direction for major maintenance start-up and commissioning projects
Project planning, scheduling, and estimating for assigned work or in support of sales opportunities
Complete status reports and technical reports (i.e., recording on critical measurements)
Provide professional guidance related to critical measurements and acceptance criteria major as defined by OEMs or based on industry specified best practice
Participate in project planning and project execution meetings
Awareness around NAES site safety program and responsibility to ensure these procedures are followed during all work activities
Support business development activities to contribute to customer satisfaction

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent
10+ years of relevant work experience
OSHA safety certifications and other relevant licenses and certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Driver's License

Preferred

Engineering Degree
Providing technical advice and direction for heavy industrial rotating equipment
Specific experience with gas turbines, steam turbines and generators
Experience with major OEM equipment (GE, Siemens, Westinghouse, Alstom)
Preferably OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified
Preferred experience with Microsoft Project
MS Office Suite: Advanced
Power Generation: Advanced
Power Plant Fundamentals: Advanced
Power Plant Operations: Advanced
Customer Service: Advanced
Outage Management: Advanced
Technical Support: Advanced
Verbal and Written Communications: Advanced
Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field
