Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking Flight Test Engineer candidates to lead various research projects for the USAF Test Pilot School on A-29 aircraft. The role involves technical coordination of upgrades, research operations engineering, and managing test planning and execution for flight tests.

Responsibilities

Responsible for technical coordination of TPS-driven upgrades & modifications to the A-29 aircraft – either with onsite T-2 special instrumentation personnel or other support organizations/personnel

Responsible for the research focused operations engineering associated with the A-29 aircraft, which include:

Coordinating research related missions and identifying potential research efforts that could utilize the A-29s, including TPS Test Management Projects (TMPs) and deconflicting with standard TPS A-29 curriculum sortie

Aircraft configuration control and scheduling

Test Conductor/Director duties

Responsible for test planning (Test plans and safety)

Required

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in all phases of planning, executing, and managing flight tests and a reputation of being a team player

Experience leading research programs within the military flight test domain

Experience running missions from a Mission Control Room

Maturity and professionalism to lead the execution of a flight test missions, briefings and oversee team of discipline engineers to support Flight Test Operations

Work well in a team environment as well as independently

Experience generating test plans, flight test mission material, post-mission, and detailed final reports

Position requires willingness to accept changing and evolving roles & responsibilities in support of customers' requirements and need

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (must have 20+ yrs of relevant work experience)

Secret clearance is required. Must have the ability to qualify for and obtain a TS/SCI clearance

U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred

Either USAF Test Pilot School Graduate or >10 yrs experience within a military flight test organization, preferably with one of the AFTC centers (Edwards AFB, Eglin AFB, or Holloman)

Wide breadth of aircraft test related experience, examples include sensors, T-2 modifications, fight dynamics/performance, aircraft systems, and system networks

Developmental Test experience

Master's degree in a STEM field (must have 15+ yrs of relevant work experience)
