Research Associate in Astronomy
The University of Virginia (UVA) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral research associate in observational cosmology to join the Virginia Cosmology Group. The successful candidate will lead a research program utilizing various astronomical surveys and may apply Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques to cosmological problems.

Lead a research program in observational cosmology
Utilize surveys such as the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), Simons Observatory (SO), and the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST)
Apply Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques to problems in Cosmology
Qualification
Required
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, Physics, or related fields by the start date
Research experience in observational cosmology, specifically galaxy clustering and CMB (lensing and/or secondaries) is preferred
