Jr. Financial Analyst

The Jr. Financial Analyst will support the NAVWAR Business Financial Management Team by managing financial data, assisting with budgeting, and providing financial analysis to ensure effective execution of funding for various programs.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business Financial Managers (BFMs), Principal Assistant Program Managers (PAPMs), Assistant Program Managers (APMs), and APMs for Installation (APM-Is) to manage resources and associated data to execute and track all required funding
Support all financial and planning documentation across applicable NAVWAR program portfolios
Provide inputs to a variety of DoD acquisition-related data calls and documentation
Build financial management strategies and develop actionable plans to help clients secure and manage the funding necessary to achieve program goals
Enter, extract, and manipulate financial data from government-approved systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and other Navy financial databases
Conduct financial systems data entry and maintenance to support accurate obligation, execution, and reconciliation of funds
Track budgets, costs, variances, and funding status across multiple funding types
Prepare and analyze monthly execution performance reports; respond to ad hoc reporting requests and variance analyses
Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and cost-benefit analyses to assess program tradeoffs and explore alternative funding approaches
Prepare and review budget estimates, funding documentation, and financial reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with established procedures, regulations, and objectives
Research past and current budgets as well as economic and programmatic developments to inform planning and recommendations
Develop and present executive-level financial summaries and data visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions), Access, and PowerPoint
Coordinate financial activities across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of funding actions
Interpret and apply financial management principles, DoD financial regulations, and NAVWAR-specific guidance
Propose courses of action (COAs) and provide strategic recommendations to address financial challenges and support decision-making
Bid and proposal support if requested
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
Three (3) years of experience providing financial management and acquisition support to a NAVWAR program office required
Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Must possess strong time management skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
