Responsibilities

Conceptualizing the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project or managing the engineering work on a project of limited scope
Planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating engineering work involving conventional practices with complex design challenges
Supporting Project Managers by serving as an Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Project Engineer
Providing direction and mentorship to less experienced engineers or technical support personnel as needed
Exercising independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Identifying additional information needed from clients and coordinating directly within LJA to gather required data
Making informed decisions regarding alternative design procedures when information is incomplete
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality design deliverables and timely project completion

Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or application submitted and awaiting registration
5+ years of post-graduate experience in site engineering for retail, industrial, institutional, commercial, or multifamily projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and internal relationships

Preferred

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across multiple project types
Ability to manage design tasks independently and adapt to evolving project requirements
