Responsibilities
Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships and other forms of transit to document damages as they are loaded and/or unloaded
Inspects damaged ships to determine cause of the damage and amount of damage resulting from collisions or motor failures
Travels as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Good oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Good customer service skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to kneel, squat or bend
Must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions
Have the ability to: climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reaching/working overhead
Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day
Must have continual use of manual dexterity
Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position
