Responsibilities

Lead and direct complex engineering and R&D initiatives as a Principal Engineer, guiding projects from ideation through advanced development

Apply deep technical expertise to solve challenging engineering problems and develop innovative, impactful solutions

Contribute significantly to program growth, identifying new technical opportunities and providing essential technical support for securing contracts

Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align engineering solutions with their technical needs

Author comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed reports and proposals

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance

Candidates without an advanced degree should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in a mission-focused, application driven environment with a BS in a relevant engineering discipline (Aerospace, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Systems)

Systems-level thinker with strong engineering fundamentals that are complemented by critical thinking skills that have been honed for defense applications

Technical leadership and engineering ability to drive innovative technology/product development and solve complex problems in an R&D setting

Experience in end user- and stakeholder-driven solution development with a specific focus on delivering a solution

Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse internal and external audiences

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance is required

Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% time domestically

Preferred

Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Aerospace, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Systems) with 12+ years of experience in a mission-focused, application-driven environment

Interest in leading technical teams, providing guidance and mentorship to team members

Applicants with existing security clearances are preferred
