Responsibilities
Improve the quality of life of patients and families by coordinating care processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and support services
Collect and prioritize patient health data through comprehensive assessments
Identify nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
Develop and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care based on patient needs
Implement interventions and ensure timely treatments and education
Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting care as necessary
Ensure patient rights, safety, and adherence to care standards
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Maintain complete and accurate documentation
Flexibly accept and perform assignments across various nursing units
Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Compassionate and patient-focused with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
Demonstrates initiative and adaptability across nursing units
2 years of recent OR experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Louisiana RN licensure
Knowledge of HIPAA, patient safety, and infection control standards
