Senior Financial Analyst, Data Center Innovation Finance

Responsibilities
Serve as the key business partner to the Design Engineering, Innovation and Controls teams working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations on electrical and mechanical innovations that should be included in the next generation of data center designs
Develop ad-hoc business analysis and present recommendations to AWS senior management around design changes introduced to Colocation facilities and the DC capital improvement process
Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities
Report on the financial performance and lead in the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial review
Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes and controls to support the fast-growing, global AWS business
Support the Data Center Engineering (DCE) organization in the design, financial evaluation, execution, budgeting and monitoring of strategic initiative (SI) related to electrical, mechanical, power generation, and/or structural design of new data center generational designs
Qualification
Required
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
