The Wall Street Journal is seeking a platform editor to join the team behind WSJ+, a premium digital product offering personalized news and analysis. The role involves developing content strategies, optimizing product experiences, and maintaining editorial integrity to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Implement content strategy: Help develop the content offering on WSJ+ with two main goals–engaging bundle subscribers more deeply through personalization and building cross-brand discovery
Optimize product experience: Monitor the WSJ+ product ecosystem daily to ensure a seamless dynamic product experience and address time-sensitive or contextual gaps as they arise
Maintain metadata accuracy: Ensure metadata is properly managed in the content management system, reflecting the content accurately and consistently
Uphold editorial integrity: Maintain the high standards of Dow Jones, ensuring all content adheres to our editorial ethics and brand voice
Qualification
Required
at least one year of experience in a digital newsroom, with a background in editing, writing, production and product development
Familiarity with the intersection of editorial and tech is a plus
Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate developments, and economic trends
Prior reporting experience is a plus
Experience working for a subscriber-driven product or service, especially one aimed at delivering premium content and personalized user experiences
Excellent news judgment and the ability to balance urgent needs with long-term objectives
Proactive in spotting challenges and opportunities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex environment where ambiguity and change are constant
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively across teams
