The Patient Financial Services Coder is responsible for the review of Clinical and Hospital documentation for accurate coding and posting of clinical and hospital charges.

Processes self-pay account activity

Consistently exhibits all Moses Lake Community Health Center's Service Standards with patients while responding to inquiries regarding accounts and statements

Attends the group Provider training session and assists in training Providers as required by task assignment

Required

Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills

Possesses computational and computer skills

Possesses mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program

Job duties require specific knowledge and training in billing and coding, typically acquired during completion of a (certificate or license program) in Certified Professional Coder with a duration of up to one year
