The Aftercare Team Member will build a strong sense of community, support students in age-appropriate activities, and communicate with families to celebrate student success.
Education
Responsibilities
Build a strong sense of community and culture aligned to the mission, vision, and values of Urban Community School for a small group of students
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate daily programming that is educational and recreational
Lead and support students as they participate in age-appropriate activities
Actively supervise students to ensure student safety at all times
Communicate with parents/caregivers, staff members, and administration regarding the student experience and regularly share updates with families to keep them informed and celebrate student success
Develop routines, systems, and procedures to support student safety and a positive environment
Update all records accurately and completely as needed and as required by laws and school regulations
Use restorative practices and conscious discipline framework to support student development
Participate in training programs as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working with Pre-K - 8th grade students strongly preferred
Proficiency in Restorative Practices and Conscience Discipline preferred
FBI/BCI background check required

Preferred
Previous experience working with Pre-K - 8th grade students strongly preferred
Proficiency in Restorative Practices and Conscience Discipline preferred
