Hatch I.T. is partnering with a Counter-UAS solution provider to find a Senior Backend Engineer. The role focuses on developing and integrating C2 products for US customers, leveraging cutting-edge technology in Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of our C2 product to meet the demanding operational requirements in real-world deployments aligned to the long-term product vision

Build features and improvements from conceptualisation to realisation working closely with the global software engineering team

Implementation of integrations with US-based sensors, effectors, BMS platforms, and enterprise and DoD customer environments, in close collaboration with the global C2 architecture team

Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

More than 5 years' experience in software development

Experience developing with Golang, or relevant typed languages (C++/Rust)

Experience with gRPC is ideal

Experience working with two or more from the following: distributed and parallel systems, Unix/Linux environments, web application development, developing large software systems, and/or security software development

Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal

Previous ‘start-up' or ‘scale-up' experience is favourable

You are a lifelong learner. You're self-taught and continuously learning. You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise

You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools

You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments

You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing

You're familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems
