Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS including footnotes, MD&A, regulatory compliance, supporting documentation, etc
Drive the annual budget process, support forecasting activities, build reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor KPIs and operational performance
Act as the primary point of contact for external audits. Ensure readiness for statutory reviews and implement improvements based on audit feedback. Stay current on regulatory and accounting developments
Manage a small team, foster professional development, and collaborate cross-functionally to align financial reporting with strategic goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
CPA and/or Chartered Accountant required
Experience in commodities required
10+ years of accounting/audit experience, 5+ years managing global team
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting and regulatory rules
Strong financial planning and analysis including forecasting and cash flow
Strong ethical standards and integrity
Communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills
