They are seeking a Branding Iron Visual Editor to supervise staff photographers, manage photo assignments, and create visuals for the Branding Iron newspaper and BI Online website.

Responsibilities
In consultation with section editor, provide assignments of photos for newspaper
Provide cutlines for all photos shot in a timely manner prior to publication
Supervise work of photographers and their photo assignments
Meet with editor as needed
Maintain regular office hours of not less than 10 hours per week
Supervise payroll procedures for photographers
Delegates duties. Conduct regular meetings with section editors to discuss story ideas, assignments and the general direction of the newspaper
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Full-time student
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Access to a digital camera
Must be available to start work Aug. 18, 2025
Must be available for publication deadlines on Sundays and Wednesday nights
Must be available Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for training
Preferred
Ability to shoot quality digital photographs in newspaper style
Some prior supervisory experience
