The role involves producing news, feature, or game wrap-up stories for publication in print and online editions, with a requirement to produce at least four stories per week.

Pick up assignments from editor
Meet with editor regularly
Create story ideas for consideration of sports editor

Qualification
Required
Student
Access to personal transportation
Newspaper experience, including writing news stories
Must be available to start work Aug. 18, 2025
Must be available for publication deadlines on Sundays and Wednesday nights
Must be available Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for training
Preferred
Knowledge of AP and BI stylebooks
Knowledge of basic journalistic style and how to write newspaper articles
Knowledge of sports and sports media coverage
