General Manager, Sales and Marketing
Paraco Gas Corp is seeking a Head of Sales and Marketing to drive sales growth and enhance brand awareness through strategic initiatives. This role involves managing sales teams, developing marketing strategies, and ensuring customer retention while contributing to long-term company growth.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage a diverse sales team across entire Paraco Territory
Develop strategic partnerships (network partners) to cultivate and generate new sales opportunities
Modify or change sales compensation plans and sales contracts as needed
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy by geographic markets and market segments to drive propane sales, ensuring maximum gross profit margins and sales volume
Oversee national accounts, fostering strong relationships and negotiating large-scale propane supply agreements
Collaborate closely with the M&A team to integrate acquisitions into the sales process, maximizing growth opportunities
Partner with the Finance team to develop competitive pricing strategies and bid/proposal agreements aligned with market demands and company goals
Provide training, mentorship, and professional development to sales representatives, ensuring they are equipped to handle objections and close sales effectively
Utilize sales data, metrics, and analytics to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and guide strategic decision-making
Develop and implement a multi-channel marketing strategy that strengthens Paraco’s brand, increases awareness, and converts leads into customers
Oversee digital marketing, content creation, email campaigns, social media, SEO, and paid advertising efforts
Align marketing initiatives with sales objectives to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy that enhances customer acquisition and retention
Leverage market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to refine messaging, optimize campaigns, and enhance Paraco’s industry positioning
Plan and oversee marketing campaigns, promotional events, and sponsorship opportunities to elevate Paraco’s brand presence
Lead trade show participation and industry events, ensuring Paraco is well-represented in key markets
Work cross-functionally with Operations and Customer Service teams to enhance the overall customer experience
Leverage CRM tools and personalized marketing strategies to improve customer engagement, retention, and loyalty
Develop initiatives that strengthen Paraco’s relationship with customers, ensuring a seamless transition from marketing to sales and post-sale service
Act as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to long-term strategic planning and company growth initiatives
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Paraco remains competitive in the energy market
Represent Paraco at industry events, networking opportunities, and thought leadership engagements to enhance the company’s credibility and influence
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership
Demonstrated success in managing high-performance sales teams and executing effective marketing campaigns
Experience in handling large sales, proposals, and complex transactions in the energy sector
Strong ability to translate sales objectives into actionable marketing strategies
Proficiency in sales analytics, forecasting, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, revenue optimization, and gross margin analysis
Ability to analyze customer data and market trends to inform decision-making
Proven track record of hiring, training, and motivating sales and marketing teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present, negotiate, and influence stakeholders at all levels
Experience in cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and finance
Understanding of the propane industry, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment
Must be willing to travel (up to 75%) across Paraco's geographic footprint
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (car allowance provided)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
