They are seeking a dynamic Tax Supervisor and/or Manager to join their growing Tax practice, responsible for managing tax teams, directing engagements, and enhancing client communication regarding tax issues.

Responsibilities
Manage and mentor members of Tax teams to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
Review and manage tax engagements
Assume full responsibility for directing large engagements and special assignments
Supervise the assignment of duties to, and the training of, staff and senior accountants assigned to engagements
Monitor and manage time budgets for the office
Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the Tax process
Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency
Demonstrate an understanding of business issues relating to complex transactions
Work and communicate effectively with clients to enhance their understanding of business and tax issues
Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to the tax team
Review and correspond with the IRS and Department of Revenue as it relates to audits and notifications
Demonstrate an awareness of firm software packages and the ability to use such software effectively and efficiently
Self-Directed, Autonomous, Ambitious
Exceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Current CPA license
3 years or more of experience in preparing and reviewing individual, partnership and corporate tax returns
Prior Public Accounting Experience
Preferred
master's degree in accounting
