Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate fully-automated, fault-tolerant infrastructure on bare metal Kubernetes
Support other engineering teams with infrastructure feature requests and live system debugging
Perform scheduled maintenance and cross-region disaster recovery for highly available large-scale distributed production systems
Uphold regulatory and compliance standards (specifically PCI) across all levels of infrastructure and applications
Collaborate with third-party auditors, consultants, and vendors to meet the above regulatory and compliance standards

Qualification

KubernetesLinux administrationRDBMS administrationSecurity mindsetCI/CD toolsAWS servicesPCI complianceIaC toolsCommunication skillsCollaboration

Required

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm chart construction
Administration experience with RDBMS and large-scale data systems (Postgres, FoundationDB, S3, Athena, BigQuery)
Advanced Linux systems administration skills with accompanying shell mastery
A security-first mindset, demonstrated over several projects

Preferred

PCI compliance experience, especially audit preparation
Experience with CI/CD tools Github Actions and ArgoCD
Experience with AWS EKS, RDS, and associated services
Experience with IaC tools Terraform and Puppet
