Responsibilities
Performs all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through patient positioning, technique selection, administration of contrast media and application of immobilization and radiation protection devices as established by LG protocols, policies and procedures
Receives requests, checking for special instructions from the requesting physicians. Consults with Radiologists as necessary
Greets patients--confirming their identifications performing the correct procedures as directed and completely explaining the procedure to patient and family as directed
Operates and enters information through the hospital computer system. Documents required information and patient history in the electronic medical record. Documents other information as required
Completes examination, consultation, and billing procedures as required. Performs POC testing, Universal Protocol and other paperwork as applicable
Accurately and appropriately utilizes all computer related equipment, such as the electronic health record, email and the intranet
May require travel to various site locations
Performs visual preventive safety inspections. Completes warm-up procedures for each radiographic room/equipment as assigned. Records quality control activities. Reports equipment conditions to immediate leadership or appropriate personnel
Compliance with OSHA and other mandated safety procedures or regulations
Maintains necessary inventory supplies for assigned workstation, rotating stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items
Participates in the clinical education of Radiology students as required
Participates in the on-call responsibilities for this position as required
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology School
Certification in Radiological Technology, issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists, is required to be obtained within six (6) months of placement in position if hired after 8/1/2025, or twelve (12) months if hired between 1/1/2024 and 7/31/2025, or eighteen (18) months if hired prior to 1/1/2024
CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Radiologic Technologist (Required)
Preferred
Two (2) years of clinical experience beyond training
